Our History

History of the Organization

The Lykion ton Ellinidon (Lyceum Club of Greek Women) was founded in 1911 by Callirrhoe Siganou-Parren, a pioneer of the feminist movement in Greece and the country's first woman journalist. It serves as an invaluable resource, accumulating and teaching Hellenic folk culture with extensive research in an effort to retain authenticity.

History of our Chapter

One of the 16 chapters abroad, the Atlanta chapter of Lykion ton Ellinidon has been active since 1995. Over the years we have developed into an organization based on volunteer work with members who, with love and devotion, strive to preserve our cultural inheritance.

Through our programs and events, we put our best foot forward to pass this culture on to the next generation.
